For years Ken Davis was one of my favorite musicians. Having sold over two million CDs in Australia where he is a household name amongst the more ambient music collectors. His world class melodies are very sadly not exceptionally well known in the USA. I had the great good fortune to become good friends with Ken over the years and when he generously offered me the use of his extensive library of melodies to dedicate a CD to the classic of spiritual literature, Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda, I was thrilled at the chance. Of all the many spiritual books I have ever read, the Autobiography of a Yogi published by Self-Realization Fellowship stands out as an inspiration on so many worthwhile and profound levels.
Ken Davis was introduced to Amma in the USA in Albuquerque in July 2006 by his good friend Nick Hodgson. Ken was deeply honoured to perform live as Amma was giving Darshan. His heart opened up to her special love whilst her audience were uplifted by his heavenly melodies. Ken's music is inspired by love and so this for him was a very special embrace. Ken and Nick selected melodies that would both inspire and create a feeling of well-being.
